as i was abroad without a PC and some work on my own layout i wasnt active on the Teamwork for long.

Wanted to build and downloaded the 42 1/2 and all i get is a "Datenfehler" when load.

looks like you accidentially made your crosses in Jiřís column. I’m going to upload a new and slightly updated version this evening.

Are you interested in container (and other goods) trains between you area and Matias’ and my areas?

I had some problems with the high-speed line. Now these are fixed, but then I spent too much time looking at the stabling yard west of my airport station and watching the ICE trains come and go. I could spend hours just watching these white snakes coming and going.

No freight yard capacity has been set up in Bordele yet, so it should be easy to adapt

Meanwhile, while researching, I’ve found out that Hamburg sends 200 freight trains with 5,000 cars per workday into its hinterland (thankfully I’m not planning such a large harbour) and that each of the three cranes in the Lehrte Mega-Hub manages up to 30 containers per hour (pg. 61) and the hub is aiming for less than three hours loading and unloading per train (pg. 60). Provides some food for thought, or better: an headache for my existing container terminals. For my standard-issue 48-element, 31-cars train with 3 containers per car and up to 93 containers per trains, that needs at least 1½ container cranes for every train that’s handled per hour. I’ve started by doubling the number of cranes at Torkham. And the network for container block trains is taking shape.

Oy I have been building on the wrong version... I will paste my changes into the correct version on Monday or Tuesday. Feel free to build during the weekend if you wish to.

to be learned: leave a message in the forum if you upload a new version, otherwise someone will miss it.

Oh, and I took the opportunity introduced some changes to the container trains: routes SC-GC-FT Torkham – Farris and SC-GC-CF Clydesgow – Farris were ‘split’ into two routes: one with 31 container cars as before, the other one with 37 pocket wagons suitable for containers, trailers or swap bodies.

This means that interchanging container trains with Clydeshire will be complicated, because every other train will be a different train of type “commuter service” instead of the default “local train”. Please take care to not mix up the different sets of cars.

Are you sure it has been fixed? With the latest upload (version 44½) I get error #121, data error.
Does it work fine with you? Hopefully the savefile has not become corrupted.

then it’s back. :-\ Last time it was a strange, negative value in the line given by the error message. I’ll see to it this evening, as I’m currently not equipped to reproduce the error.

Hi ho,
good news: problem identified again, culprit found (hopefully) and uploaded corrected version 44½. Working should now be possible.

In Addition, I uploaded the broken versions 42½ and 44½ into the Older versions folder, so that Jan Bochmann can access them if he wants to. (And I’m going to file a bug report. )

Sorry for the late upload. Version 45 has been uploaded with extra rush hour services on lines RE1/R11 to alleviate congestion on the line. Take a look at Walcote Central during rush hour to see some nice shunting action. Other than that not much has changed.

Uploaded V46. It features basic IC between Whales Capital and Merrimarsh via Faylea. Perspectively i´m thinking about a "Stuttgart21" in the Capital to get rid of the various terminal stations. Then also the short Intercities coub be extended.

I look forward to visit Whales and see the changes! Maybe a "Whales21" isn't strictly needed if you build a ring railway connecting the terminii. Makes for more diverse and fun operations (at least in my mind )

You could do both: build a ring railway, a tunnel and an overground connection. That’s three wishes at once! Certainly, there are not that many capitals with such a rail network … oh, wait: there is one!
