Can the dutch version also be included?
Like the oval German signal, but then green above and red below (opposite to the German signal)

In a BAHN layout, you may build no, one or more distant signals for one stop signal. In result, it is possible to set some distant signals in a series (similar to German "Vorsignal-Wiederholer" signals), giving each another speed (eg. 80km/h, 60km/h, 40, 20). </tr></td></table>
Perhaps, there could be a track symbol with the letter "S" meaning "signal" with the same function and options like a distant signal.

That would be very nice indeed! The signal-dependent slow-down-sign ("signalabhaengige Langsamfahrstelle", I did not know how to translate it in another way) becomes reality!

Because in the Netherlands home signals can be advance signals too. </tr></td></table>
The dutch signals are a combination of a advance and a home signal. You could put them after each other. First the home and then the advance signal.
You get the combinations:
home=green; advance=green -> max.speed
home=green; advance=yellow -> lower speed of advanced signal
home=red; advance=doesn't matter -> stop
In this way you could simulate the dutch signalsystem. Because two signals after each other isn't nice I would ask Jan Bochmann to implement invisible advance signals with the choice of seeing the color of the signal or nothing.
The problem is then solved: Jan doesn't have to change the 2-state signalling system; the dutch system is possible.
It would be nices of course with the introduction of the of a 3-state signal. Then you could really see the red, yellow, and green light in the same signal.

If the home signal is red the advance signal ALWAYS has to be yellow.
So: home=red; advance=yellow -> stop

Bastiaan, what you said is right, only the advance signal I ment is a part of the next signal installation. The color of this advance signal depends on the color of the next home signal and could be green or yellow.

Ich think that both of you ar richt. In Holland we don't have separate pre-signals on main lines. Only when the distance between home-signals is realy big (several kilometres or miles) there is a pre-signal.
First - Second - Third
When the second signal is red, the first will be yellow. The second signal will only display red.
In Germany, there are always separate pre-signals, standing before or hanging unter the home-signal. These signal NEVER SHOW GREEN OR RED WHEN THE HOME-SIGNAL IS RED!!!

Yeah, that´s right, so the advance signal would have to check the home signal in front of it. But as you know, BAHN actually isn´t able to handle two "signal-systems" in one single graphic-element. If this would be possible, we´d allready have 3-state signals.

Bastiaan</tr></td></table>The UK Railway Rule Book actually said something to the effect that "home=red; distant=green" is an illegal situation and the driver must stop and telephone the signalbox for further instructions.
