Hi,

did we scare you? I hope we didn’t!

I’ve just uploaded a preliminary, new version of the Teamwork, not yet fully tested and without all the user graphics; but with a new high-speed line and the first trains running on it.

Has anybody seen Italian high-speed trains (Frecciarossa and italo) for BAHN, as open-access operators?

It’s the default setting inherited from my private networks and all other teamworks. :confusion-shrug: I’ve uploaded my latest log, it includes an almost infinite amount of arrival & departure messages from a pair of my log points and an almost complete inventory of all your points. (And some signal counter over- and underruns from you and some delays by me.)
Do you have any use for a section of a night train arriving from Coates via Redbanks at Cairndow at 2:45-ish and 5:45-ish? Direction westwards.
The return trips would leave Cairndow 22:50-ish and 1:50-ish eastwards.
The 2:45/1:50 terminate at Coates while the 5:45/22:50 terminate at Bordele - these also serve as a last/first IC service Cairndow-Redbanks.
Certainly, there is enough touristy and business stuff to the west which would fill the trains.
… - your own night train wagons are also more than welcome.

Since a night train usually goes both ways, there must be two second consists if both trains are daily; that would be supplied from Inverfyne. Would you mind if I load the train onto a ferry to Driftmark (as the large island is now named)?
I am also finalizing the InterCity schedules to prepare the start of the services. Are the train compositions mentioned in this post still possible?
Yes, of course. Inverse question: do you have use for an ICE-TD from Clydeshire Airport that comes along the new high speed line and some legacy line to Cairndow? Travel times from Redbanks and surroundings to Clydesgow and Clydeshire Airport might be shorter than via Coates. Frequency would be a train every two hours or more infrequent.

Yes, two consists could be good. One from you and one from me? As long as they are exactly the same length, then all shunting will be correct.
You are free to do whatever you feel like with trains in your area, no matter where they come from ;)

So Redbanks - Cairndow - Clydesgow with a high speed train? Sure, what times would it arrive to the border? The current Taktfahrplan looks like this during rush hour. R67 is supposed to continue to Cairndow, but there is currently change of trains at the border :) The full schedule is available in the Montspoor Schedules folder in Google Drive.

That depends … the timetable on the Clydesgow – 2nd Junction section is not yet finalized and the 2nd Junction – Inverchorachan section does not yet exist. I hope that the ICEs can serve the existing meeting of trains from all directions.

ICEs will arrive in Cairndow half-hourly, and once per hour they will leave an ICE-T at 2nd Junction to serve Queensbury and beyond (and the amusement parks south of Q’bury). In the other ‘once per hour’, they will lead two diesel-electric trainsets to Cairndow, where they send them off to faraway destinations off the overhead wire. Preferably, some or all of them will serve the holiday resorts on the coast. 🏊🏞️

Modernisation work is currently underway at the ICE-TDs, 22x and TurboTrains so that they can operate with external electric power supply when running coupled with an electric train. 🔧🔌
R67 is supposed to continue to Cairndow, but there is currently change of trains at the border :)
I'll extend it as soon as have time to build some tracks for overnight stabling, which requires me to have some thoughts about the final station layout.

Juhdn Ahmd,
I did just upload a new half-version of out Teamwork. New are some small towns along the Great Northern Railway to Torkham, together with names for them and for the existing medium-sized towns along the Grand Trunk Railway to Oban.

Also, the new open-access operator SNCF is doing test runs of its new rolling stock on the high-speed line.

Good to see activity! There is work behind the scenes at Montspoor Railways timetabling and planning offices in order to activate service on more lines soon

Due to an unexpectedly busy summer there has been very little progress in Montspoor. Only a few new lines built and a new village by the beach added since last time, but they have been added to Sascha's half-version into a new version 32 available on the Google Drive. Hopefully autumn will be more productive for me

Sascha: Could you upload the latest user-defined vehicle graphics to the Google Drive? There are some vehicles that are not shown for me, so I think I have the wrong files somehow. For example ICE-19D has a section that does not show.

busy summer season sounds familiar here. :)

I now have an unexpected slow period caused by an unexpected PC death (UPD). :tools-wrench: I’ll hope there will be a new PC in the mail by the end of the week, so that regular summer programming with the Teamwork can continue.

Hello, i am a new contributor in English Teamwork. I asked Matias via Facebook for the area (by me called "Whales")

Whales.jpg
I already started to build a little capital in the centre.

Kind regards.

:o

I’m out of service for a few days und suddenly I have new neighbours. But hey, Welcome! :) I’ve uploaded your version 33 to Mathias’ Google Drive.

 You’re welcome! :)
 Whales, as in Wales with an H?
 If you want to build your railways with ‘corners’ instead of squiggly curves, then just do it!

 Did you notice the high-speed railway from Clydesgow to Inverfyne, which runs through Whales between Oban and 3rd Junction? It is currently hidden underground, but it’s supposed to run in the open air, but with tunnels and bridges (just like a new-build highspeed-line). Do you have any plans for it?

 The border stations between you and me:
Castle Douglas: currently served by IC/IR3 from Clydesgow (my capital) and IC/IR40 from Cumnock. Both are running every half hour. One of them or both could continue west or northwest.

In Oban, the plans are: IC/IR2 vom Clydesgow along the River Clyde (the long way round via Crianlarich) and a lot of trains via the high-speed line.

For now, I will leave the high-speed line untouched. Instead, a line will be built along the river. In Oban, there should be a branch to a high-speed line connecting to the railway ring in my capital. The route will be served by a fast regional express train. From Castle Douglas, there will be a 160-200 km/h line to my capital or westward towards the sea.

Welcome, EN453!

We look forward to see Whales in the layout! International connections are very welcome, as are ferries - especially those carrying trains!
Send me your email address in a private message, then I will give you editing permissions in the Google Drive for you to be able to upload layouts and other files relevant for the teamwork.

But most importantly, your area is your area. You can do exactly what you want there :)

aaah, an old line that was supplanted by a new high-speed line.
In Oban, there should be a branch to a high-speed line connecting to the railway ring in my capital.
I was already envisioning a branch from Oban to Jiřkov/Georgetown and from 2nd Junction to where your capital is, but it is your country now.
The route will be served by a fast regional express train.
The route between Oban and your capital?
From Castle Douglas, there will be a 160-200 km/h line to my capital or westward towards the sea.
Ah, another way from Clydesgow (my capital) to the beach. 8) 200km/h would require the ICE-TD trains, but we’ll have to see whether the fastest way between our capitals will be via Castle Douglas or via Oban (high-speed line).

Hello,

since a picture says more than a thousand words, some pictures for the Oban border area:
FRL1-Oban.png
  • There are IC1 and IR1 from Clydesgow via Crianlarich to Torkham in the north (outside of the map).
  • There will be IR2 from Clydesgow via Crianlarich and Taynuilt to Oban. In Taynuilt it will split in half, with one half returning to Clydesgow via the high-speed line, and the other half continuing to Oban. A third half will be coming from Clydesgow along the high-speed line and pair up with the half from Crianlarich for the journey to Oban.
  • IC2 will run to Oban parallel to IR2, but with fewer stops. (All IC routes will have fewer stops than the parallel IC routes.)
  • As you can see, there will be a bunch of routes plying the mountains west of Clydesgow and south of Oban. IC3/IR3 and IC40/IR40 would be a good fit to be extended from Castle Douglas into Whales.
  • There will be similar minor railway lines in the mountains northeast of Oban and of course local stopping trains on all lines. All routes run half-hourly during the day.
The train that’s going to show up at Oban on the old wiggly line will look like this, 400m long and a nice breaking point in the middle at 200m. It can be extended as a whole or split again to go in two directions or whatever.
SC-IRE2+IR2.png
Examples of the trains that run to Castle Douglas are already standing at the station for decoration. :-)

If routes are extended across the border, they could also use your rolling stock as well.

My apologies, I reserved yesterday and today for building, but ... I had no time to finish anything to upload today. I expect to show off some new routes in Coates this time off, together with a much more complete (although still unfinished) road framework in the city.

PS: sc-english.nfz seems to be missing a vehicle and chris-BR-DMU3.nfz seem to be missing altogether. Could you upload the latest user-graphics files from your end to the drive? Thanks
